SURRENDERED HORSES

Thank you to the previous owners for caring enough to surrender their horses to us at Heel and Hoof Horse Rescue. By doing this they are insuring the safety of the horse.  All surrendered horses are Vet checked and seen by our farrier. Any needs are taken care of right away. If the surrendered horse is rehomed you can be assured that it will be going to a loving home that has been vetted by us.

Surrendered horses will not end up in the slaughter pipeline. So often when the horses are taken to auction there is the risk of them ending up with  kill buyer.

Funding and rehoming does dictate the number of horses we can take in and as funding increases we gladly open our stables to a higher number of surrenders. Please do not hesitate to call at any time to inquire as to the availability of space.

This is Rain, a lovely well broke quarter horse mare. She has found her forever home.

Nudge is our latest surrender. She is a sweet natured mare.

This spring we will work on desensitizing, and assessing how well broke she is.
